How hydrogen electric vehicles could help us reach Net Zero: the Riversimple Rasa

Countries around the world are gearing up to ban petrol and diesel cars and vans due to their environmental impact. Battery powered cars are already available in the UK, but they’re not practical for everyone.

Hugo Spowers from Riversimple has developed a hydrogen electric vehicle that could make more sense for drivers who can’t afford the downtime of having to charge their car during the day, or are unable to charge their car overnight.

The Riversimple Rasa is filled up similarly to a petrol or diesel car, and with more garages offering hydrogen pumps, it’s becoming a realistic alternative. The car takes three minutes to fill and can reach the same speed as other cars, and it won’t run out of battery.

Watch the video to see the Rasa in action and hear Hugo explain how hydrogen electric vehicles could help us reach net zero.
