What is Milwaukee Forge? New Milwaukee Tool Batteries EXPLAINED
The New Milwaukee Forge M18 Fuel and MX Fuel battery platforms were announced late last year, and now that we’ve got our hands on it, we wanna answer the questions on everyone’s mind. In this video I dive deep into the newly available M18 Fuel 6.0 Forge Battery, the soon-to-be-released 12.0 Forge battery, and both Forge batteries available on the MX Fuel equipment system.
I cover how these Forge packs work, what makes them special, and different ways you can incorporate them into your work on the jobsite and at home. We also discuss Milwaukee’s new Supercharger, which they’re claiming is their fastest and most powerful charger to date.
You’ll see Milwaukee Forge featured in many head-to-heads in the coming months! So be sure to subscribe to the channel and stay tuned for more power tool content!

Holy fkn price smokey!
original m18 lion were the best before they made them bad to sell different batteries.
A 12.0 amp M18 Forge ??? did i hear correctly ?
Just got a 12.0 with a free 8.0 at HD bout to run these bad boys like crazy
I got the Forge 12.0 and 8.0 deal at HD and I’m very happy with it.
The 8.0 let me run the M18 dual action polisher to polish a whole Honda Accord with half the battery left in a single charge. While the 12.0 let me use the new 500cfm blower to dry my car faster.
I’m sorry but I don’t buy the whole new supercharger thing. First off they only officially compared it to the dual voltage rapid charger and secondly the charge times quoted mean it’s max output is identical to the old supercharger. Now I understand that despite the advertised specs, the new super charger is indeed faster than the old one, but it appears to be that only applies to the new forge packs only. Regardless that was crap and honestly insulting marketing. Also their is plenty wattage in a standard 120v, 15 amp circuit to charge both packs at full power. Sadly the new supercharger can’t do that and instead of just stating the truth, Milwaukee spun this as an advanced feature. The reality is they cheaped out and made the charger weaker then it perhaps could be. I know the new forge packs are awesome and the new super charger is faster then the old one, with a forge battery, but this sleazy and honestly insulting marketing has really turned me off of the whole thing. Just be honest and tell it like it is, trying to spin a weakness as an advantage only indicates that you believe your audience is too stupid to know otherwise. C’mon Milwaukee do right by your customers!
Ridiculously overpriced chargers! Pouch cells are not new, are less expensive to produce, and they still have the nerve to price them higher than the normal batteries.
so can you charge a forge on an old charger?
Millwaukee makes huge profits on batteries not tools!
Forge has a major issue Milwaukee needs recall and fix
it cuts off with tools running high speed mode like multi tools grinder even high torque impact and D handle impact , super hawg, mitre saw
I just don’t think the little bit of performance gain is worth replacing my other batteries. When my old batteries die maybe it’s worth the upgrade.
Are M12 Forge batteries announced ? Like maybe a Forge XC 7.0 or 8.0 for high demand tools such as a Hacksaw, Circular saw, Vacuum, Blower, or a rotary hammer drill!
Hi there just putting out there has anyone had issues with this battery have a issue limit to my high torque 1/2 only every other tool works great tool has had very little use as mid torque covers 99.5% of my needs but issue is almost starts like a soft start that ramps up slowly but only does with forge battery 8.0 n 6.0 it’s normal and more power very first time I used it with the forge battery it almost ripped the impact out of my hand and twisted my wrist on the first 3 bolts was impressive then lost a lot of power and slowly ramping up but no were near the torque even of a 5amp
Hopefully the tabless cells do better than the current packs with overheating. Particularly with grinders and most notoriously the 9 inch cut saw. Love that saw but constantly worrying my next cut will trip the battery is a bit of a let down. I would spend the money to know i dont have to worry about it
Is it a crime if you steal from a criminal, that sole it from a store?
I hope they make a 3.0 M18 forge soon too, like the 3.0 M18 HO, love them for my impact and nail gun where the extra weight and size of a larger battery is definitely noticeable

Their forge battery was the best battery I ever moved to. I’m a commercial electrician for 27 years.
Source?
I like the 6.0 forge. It is handy when I need more torque but less weight. I think the m18 12.0 forge will be game changer for the m18 table saw. And whole hog Right angle drill. I do want to know when it comes out. As with all Milwaukee batteries best to get them in kits or sale deals
How do they hold up in the cold and heat . I know DeWalt’s don’t care for the cold weather from experience.
Is there any thought on M 12 forge?
didnt Bosh do tabless cylindircals in their coe18v+ batteries already? Correction: Not till Feb 2024
Pouch cells expand and explode. No thanks.
