Sena saying it’s fast charge and then finishing later than the Cardo is funny.

Need to update these choices. Prices are better and quality with features are more standard.

Out of experience: intercom for rider-to-pillion comunication and calls. Intercoms for bike to bike comunications.

Many years using sena 3s universal…. Its small, not expensive, battery is installed in earpiece, i think… Charging slow~3h, 😊 and battery is just okay… Advertised as 8hours… (They still selling this, small almost unvisible for others, intercom). Do i ever needed something more in these years? Had to be honest to myself, no… Do i wanted? Yes if they were small and invisible. Sena 3s was fine… Was thinking to get sena port device which lets any bluetooth device become mesh device… But how many times i needed this in those years? None!.. and for communication with few budies i use Zello, + bluetooth LE PTT button…. For sound clarity… Sena divice is pretty clear in recording good sample…. But… At motorway and up speed your ears let you down… Alpine race earplugs help a little. But from 160km/h its hard to talk with these anyway. Noise from wind become too loud. At one point i was considering using walkie talkies i already have.. but for nice setup you still need bluetooth ptt adapter… And they are not cheap .. but never were on Europe country in last 5years where cellular data was not working…. So do i really need other intercom? No.

Can i use the jbl phones as standalone?

  15. @hidr0frbg on January 31, 2025 at 6:17 pm

Hey, I was wondering how do you connect the walkie talkie to your helmet? We have V6 Pros and use them for Karting competitions, but they are not that good and reliable we have walkie talked and were wondering if there is a way to use those as they are load and reliable.

  16. @Bovrinox on January 31, 2025 at 6:23 pm

why have oyu listed the uclear as good sound? its so bad you cant even hear what you said while demonstrating it! XD

  17. @Katsuu.21 on January 31, 2025 at 6:23 pm

A lot of new coms can actually connect to your phone and a Bluetooth walkie-talkie at the same time allowing you to have the luxury of music and phone connectivity, with the added benefits of better and more efficient communication

  18. @WhyDoesThisExistYoutube on January 31, 2025 at 6:26 pm

the best part about the walkie is that you can just walk into any gas station and grab some batteries

  19. @simplycharacterized8604 on January 31, 2025 at 6:28 pm

what accessory do you use for the walkie talkie? considering you cannot talk into it with a full face, etc

  20. @sniper-yf3181 on January 31, 2025 at 6:29 pm

whats with the top end stuff from sena and cardo? the expensive ones from sena also has harman kardon speaker like the 50R

  21. @gojitte on January 31, 2025 at 6:29 pm

Noticing a cardo in the uclear still 4:28

  22. @AndyRussell-b1b on January 31, 2025 at 6:32 pm

  26. @MrPeter0028 on January 31, 2025 at 6:38 pm

I wish they’d remade this video for 2024. We have so many new players. Sena ST1 for "cheap mesh", Cardo has the Custom, Neo.

  27. @marcush4741 on January 31, 2025 at 6:38 pm

I haven’t reached the conclusion. But I’m a radio nerd. Most motorcycle tech uses bluetooth or cell service. I live in the adirondacks, where cell service is spotty at best.

For me, actual radio is the best option. HAM is great, but most of my friends don’t have a license. I haven’t gotten a response to a CQ on CB in over a year. But GMRS? The range is higher than CB, and the knowhow needed to use it or get a license is FAR lower than HAM technician.

I bought GMRS for my riding buddies. And did so for less than the cost of a single top end bluetooth device. And we have farther range… and the ability to switch to channel 20 and make an emergency call out to ANY GMRS or FRS user within range.

For me, GMRS is the way to go.

Uclears tone is garbage, sena has a nice tone.

  30. @peterjones4621 on January 31, 2025 at 6:45 pm

Hi Ryan, I hear you’re possibly not going to be doing video? I sure hope not, your videos are just amazing. Well, it’s 2024 now and I want to buy a communications system to install into Shoei helmet, I want the absolutely best speakers and microphone to use with my new Sportster S which has all the new technology allowing me to communicate, music, gps via my phone. I sure hope you will create a new video for 2024 and I pray your not leaving FortNine but if you are I wish you the best, you’re videos are the best I’ve ever seen on YouTube. Thank you for everything Ryan. Take care.

  31. @chrisdrgs38 on January 31, 2025 at 6:46 pm

    How’re ya now?

  33. @dylant.wisneski5293 on January 31, 2025 at 6:47 pm

All these comments about the comms units, nothing to be said about the Letterkenny references? For shame.

  34. @Shawn_the_Protogen on January 31, 2025 at 6:49 pm

I use a Cardo Freecom 4, sound quality is excellent. Even with ear plugs and riding at 60+mph in heavy wind, I could hear my music perfectly.

  35. @cbastian3215 on January 31, 2025 at 6:49 pm

Snowboard interoms sucked so i figured lets see if a biker setup wpuld work i love how you make your videos specifically your humor

  38. @L0op on January 31, 2025 at 6:53 pm

7:08 I’m glad I’m not the only one. Where do they even get these batteries? did they just take some sticks and ask them to hold a charge, pretty please?

  41. @LegendaryMcslayer on January 31, 2025 at 6:54 pm

Of course better than all these options is the phone in your pocket (already brought with many towers to connect through) paired with any in ear headphones with noise cancellation tech (soo many affordable options there) and you just simply have your friends all join a voip chat group usually for free. (or even a party call, get creative) Recharge your headphones when refuelling or have a second set with the money you saved not buying stuff you don’t need that is stuck to your helmet. Your friend doesn’t even have to leave the chat group when leaving for home and you can make sure he made it home safe. Range is where you get cellphone service which we all already pay for. Outside phone calls can still make it through and so on. Save your money and use your mind.

  42. @GeoffreyGrandjean on January 31, 2025 at 6:55 pm

I am still really happy with the V6. I paid 30€ and had never a problem with the small buttons. But the motorola is still an option. 😀

  43. @birdman4434 on January 31, 2025 at 6:56 pm

Never had one. Do they come with 2 speakers and mic?

    Uclear is 260$

  47. @jordanharkness on January 31, 2025 at 6:58 pm

The Motorola is a frs/gmrs radio; gmrs and frs have different meanings between Canada and the USA, so and using a USA approved radio that isnt also a Canadian approved radio in Canada is illegal. Probably the other way around too? Make sure the radio you choose has an FCC number if you want to use it in the states and an Industry Canada (errrr now called ISED) number tobuse in Canada. The power output may be vastly different. In the usa, GMRS can go up to 50 watts, in canada, only 2watts. Most canadian frs usually only goes to 0.5 watts…this impacts the range of reaching Japan.
