I have a 100 mile round trip commute a few times a week. In this video, I want to explain what it’s like doing that in tesla model 3.

I also have the Semi Truck complaint or paranoia or any other large vehicle . I always drove offset to traffic before. What is your highway speed
and watts per mile average? Also electricity costs very widely from state to state as do gas prices.

Where are you located? The view from your garage looks amazing

My 2020 SR+ only gets 160 Miles from 100-0% and thats rolling up at mile 161 with 0% battery left.
just grab a wheel weight so autopilot stops bugging you, you can 3d print one and put 12oz of tire weights in it

I do a 120 mile round trip drive 2x per week on my 2023 RWD Model 3. In good summer-fall weather, I arrive back home with 58% charge remaining. Car is parked with Sentry Mode engaged for 8-10 hours. Now in this mild Midwest winter, with snow tires, I get back home with 48% charge. Love my Model 3! Haven’t seen the inside of a gas station since May 2023 unless I need a cup of coffee and a donut😅.

Have 2022 Model Y Performance with USS, and my Pops has a 2023 Model Y LR without USS.

I HATE not having USS, I cannot trust FSD or autopilot. Phantom Braking, changing lanes suck. Hopefully V12 will be good

As for my 22 MYP with USS, no issues!! Love it! Sure some creaks here and there, but can’t complain!

Have almost a 80 mile commute, and can confirm all your points.

I’m considering a Tesla for my 100 mile commute. I’m in Alabama so of course I have a LOT of pushback when I tell ppl I’m thinking about buying one. I hear it all from “the batteries are too expensive to replace!” to stuff about how my electric bill will go through the roof, and of course most of it probably has political motives. But I’m ignoring the Tesla hate because every time I try to think of true downsides I’m really finding it hard to think of a reason I shouldn’t get one. Rn I’m driving a 2011 modified BMW 335i and it’s killing me on premium gas having to fill up every few days and I’m trusting it less and less mechanically. My big question to you is how has it affected your electric bill? Thanks

Spoiler alert, it’s a game changer

Autopilot is not working at all for my Model Y. If you use Autopilot there is always ghost breaking. The suspension is the worst. You feel every bump.

Hey Parker, I’m thinking about getting a model 3 for my commute from Lehi to Salt lake and back (60 miles) and I was wondering if you knew (I’m presuming you also live in Utah) if it’s feasible if I have a 110v home outlet and work charging

I think you forgot one huge thing. Never going to a gas station! It’s hard to overstate this. Everyone asked me how long it takes me to charge and I don’t even know. I plug it in and it’s always full in the morning. I have a van as a second car and it’s so annoying when I get into it and it’s low on gas. I spend way more time filling that up and stressing about it then I ever do charging the Tesla.
